On July 9, we will be airing our very first episode of The Girl Next Door Book Club! We thought it'd be fun to dedicate an occasional episode entirely to discussing books we've read recently, and we want you to join us!

For our first GND Book Club we'll be dishing on Delancey, by Molly Wizenberg and Wild, by Cheryl Strayed. So grab them on your kindle, borrow copies from a friend, or put in a request at your library and read up. We'll be sharing questions and comments from listeners on the show so as you read, let us know what you think! It'll be like one big virtual book club meeting, complete with cocktails.

In this episode, we're talking about quitting jobs and making big career changes while sipping this tasty summer sangria...

Quick White Wine Sangria

makes 2 servings

approximately 2 cups of chopped fruit such as peaches, strawberries, lemon and orange slices
~2 c. of white wine (dry to semidry), such as a Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay
~1/2 c. sparkling water

Chop fruit and divide between two glasses. Pour 1 cup of white whine into each glass. Allow to sit, covered, in the refrigerator for 2 or more hours. When ready to serve top each glass with approximately 1/4 cup of sparkling water.

*For our mocktail version, we used a sparkling white grape juice.

Kelsey shares her four ways to know if it's time to quit your job, and Erica talks about what it's been like for her to totally change career gears. We both share our awkward work stories, and our favorite and least favorite things about our current work situations.

We also admit to annoying habits that we're trying to quit.

Kelsey's currently obsessed with hipster ipsum and other offbeat lorem ipsum texts, and Erica couldn't be more pleased with her Moving Comfort Juno sports bra.

In neighborhood news, Erica saves another neighbor from a nasty creature, and wants to institute neighbor night swims this summer. Ghost of Tailless and his friends are brazenly using Kelsey's yard as a highway, and the rogue neighborhood trash can is driving her crazy.
