Happy Halloween!

We're catching up and sipping on this slightly spooky cocktail...


Slime Ricky (adapted from Everyday Food)

  • Simple syrup made from a 2:1 ratio of sugar to fresh lime juice
  • 1.5 oz gin (optional)
  • club soda
  • frozen green grapes
  1. Freeze grapes until firm. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, stir together sugar and lime juice; bring to a boil. Simmer until sugar has dissolved and liquid is syrupy, about 2 minutes. Let cool completely, 30 minutes.

  2. Stir together lime syrup, frozen grapes, and (if using) gin. Top with club soda. Serve immediately.

In neighborhood news, we're scoping out some stellar neighborhood Halloween decorations and having scary run-ins with another rogue chihuahua. Kelsey's stalking the neighborhood bakery, but we're not happy at all with a neighborhood fondue place. Kelsey discovered a fondue conspiracy.
